Bengal Bowl Rules


Set up by Paul P. Krempasky, Jr.:

Each week the Bengals have an game I will be collecting your 
guesses to the outcome of the contest.  You simply need to send 
me the team you expect to win and the margin of victory.  Please
send your predictions to: bengalbowl@gmail.com.

Use the subject heading of BB: Week #, Team.

For example, the first week should have the heading, "BB:  Week 1,
Ariz".

You should abbreviate the team's city.

Your prediction for the game should be in the body of the message.
For example, if you believe the Bengals will beat Arizona by 17, 
then you would send a message saying "CIN 17".

PLEASE SIGN YOUR PICK WITH YOUR NAME.

You will receive a note saying pick received when the pick gets to
me.

IMPORTANT:  Picks must be dated no later than 1 hour before
kick-off for each week's game.

That's it. I will post weekly updates as to who has done the best. 
To rank those people participating there will be a scoring system
that works as follows:

If you are the ONLY person to guess the winner and correct score
you get 8 points

If there is more than one person with the correct winner and score
you each get 7 points

If there is no person with the correct score, the person/people with
the correct winner and CLOSEST score will get 5 points

People with the correct winning team, but the incorrect score will
get 3 points

If no one guesses the correct winning team, people with the correct
score, but the incorrect team will get 1 point

Points will accumulate over the course of the year.
